MAC Chen Man Love & Water Collection Haul, Swatches & Review

I only bought three things from the MAC Chen Man Love & Water Collection (click here for Pro Store pictures): Budding Love Lipstick (Pale Lavender, Lustre & Limited Edition), Budding Love Lipglass (Pale Lavender & Limited Edition), and Force of Love Lipglass (Vivid Honeysuckle Pink & Limited Edition).

I really like all three things that I purchased a great deal. The Budding Love Lipstick, which is described as a pale lavender is more of a light blue-based pink with a tinge of lavender on me. It has a Lustre finish and provides fairly sheer coverage- though it is buildable.

I did not purchase Force of Love Lipstick because, unlike Force of Love Lipglass, it turned into a bright neon coral pink on me instead of a Vivid Honeysuckle Pink. Therefore, it was too bold and warm for my NC20-25 skin- which is a bad combination on me.

 All of the swatches were photographed outside in the morning in varied lighting in order to capture different aspects of the colors. In some you will see more pink in Budding Love (Lipstick & Lipglass) in others they appear more lavender. Likewise Force of Love Lipglass appears more coral or more pink depending on the lighting.

Overall assessment: I really like all three of the things that I bought from this collection. As always the MAC Lipglass formula is on the stickier side which makes it a bit longer lasting. I love the colors, and was happily surprised that I was able to pull off Force of Love Lipglass despite the fact that it a coral-pink.
