London-based designer Gareth Pugh has partnered with M.A.C.cosmetics in what can only be described as a beautifully chic and dark and edgy couture collection. The imagery is hauntingly beautiful in its androgyny. The palette is dark and cool, but can be applied with a light hand so as not to appear too retro-goth. This is the collection that I have been waiting for-- I really appreciate the artifice and theatricality. From the pointed lashes and dark glossy berry lips, to the fair and contoured skin-- this collection is striking and sublime. The color scheme is not going to be for everyone, but it is sure to be a beautiful collection. I will post swatches the moment that I get my hands on these beauties!
The collection launches November 23rd in North America (but one week earlier at Pro Stores), December 2011 Internationally.
