1) Getting Started: Download the FOREO app and follow the instructions to pair your UFO device. In the app, scan the mask barcode and the corresponding treatment will automatically sync to your UFO device and you are ready to start your treatment directly from the app.
2) Prep for Use: Remove the attachment ring from UFO, and remove UFO Activated Mask from sachet. Secure mask on device by clipping the attachment ring back into place, with the FOREO logo facing up.
3) Enjoy: Gently glide UFO across clean, dry skin and massage the formula in using circular motions until the device turns off, indicating the end of your treatment. Dispose of the mask and rinse UFO under running water.
4) Finishing Touch: Use your fingers to gently pat any remaining essence into your skin, until it is fully absorbed. Follow with your favorite moisturizer.
My experience with the FOREO UFO 2:
This palm-sized smart masking device is very easy to use, and it delivers real results in about 1 1/2 minutes. It combines massage and heat to deliver the mask serum into the skin. As is the case with other FOREO devices, one can optimize the device use by using their app.
After activating your device (and 2 year warranty), then remove the ring and place the mask in the device, secure the ring, press the button to turn on the FOREO UFO 2, and then glide it across your face. This round disc, which perfectly fits into the device, releases its essence into the skin as you pass the UFO 2 across your face. The app effectively guides you through the process, and after about 1 1/2 minutes you are done.
The device either warms up, cools down and/or vibrates depending upon which mask you use– since the efficacy of the delivery method is dependent upon the type of mask (and its ingredients). Once you finish, you simply remove the ring, throw away the used mask and rinse the device out to remove any remaining product.
The use of the app, which may seem like an inconvenient added step, really isn't any trouble at all, and it really helps determine how the UFO 2 will respond to the particular mask being used, therefore I highly recommend using it to maximize efficacy, and to treat the particular needs of your skin.
The ease of use, coupled with the efficacy of the mask delivery method, makes this a wonderful and fuss-free skincare device. It is also very calming and relaxing, and I find it particularly effective when used right before bedtime because it really relaxes me and prepares me for sleep.
It should be noted that you can only use FOREO Masks that are specifically made to use with the UFO devices. The different LED lights are selected based upon which of the masks that are being used. Therefore, this smart device, really is quite smart!

• Exercise particular care when using UFO 2 around the under-eye regions and do not bring the device into contact with the eyelids or eyes themselves.

• Avoid leaving your UFO 2 in direct sunlight, and never expose it to extreme heat or boiling water.
• UFO 2 has a heated surface. Those sensitive to heat must use caution and care when using this device.
• Close supervision is necessary when this device is used by, on, or near children, as well as those with reduced physical and mental abilities.

Overall Assessment: I am so impressed by the FOREO UFO 2, and I should note that the device, once charged, maintains a charge for several weeks before needing to be charged again. The next FOREO device that I really want to try is their IRIS Eye Massager!
