I have all of the shades, except for Velvet Melon, which is described as, "a juicy peach hue that brings youthful vitality and boundless energy everywhere it goes."
You likely recall that I waxed poetic about the wonderful Kosås Weightless Lip Colors (Reviewed HERE) some time ago, and I am now thrilled to share Kosås Color & Light Pressed and Kosås Color & Light Creme duos with you. Each duo includes a blush and a highlighter shade or a bronzer (that can be used as a blush or contour) and a highlighter, and as the names suggest they feature powder and cream formulas.
Of the five shades that I have, I noted that the powder shades unilaterally offered buildable coverage and greater intensity in pigmentation than the cream formulas. They can be sheered out or built-up and offered all-day wear on my normal/combination skin, without the need for a primer. The creme formulas were less buildable, because of their emollience, but they lasted most of the day on my skin, without a primer.
Kosås Color & Light Pressed in Contrachroma ($34.00 for 0.28oz/8g from Kosås, b-glowing, Credo Beauty and Neiman Marcus): Described as "A golden bronzing duo for a radiant, sun-kissed glow or subtle, sophisticated definition," this ultra-finely milled pressed powder duo is silky-smooth to the touch and it glides across the skin effortlessly, depositing color evenly. It neither settles into pores, nor does it emphasize fine lines. The sun-kissed bronzer shade, which is a stunning carmelized burnt peach, can also be used as a contour or a blush, and it is neither orange, nor does it oxidize. Instead, it offers the skin warmth and depth without appearing too flat, or too luminous, and it has enough of a glow without being overdone in the least bit. The highlighting shade, which can be mixed with the bronzing shade, is a refined and glowing ivory that creates a beautiful lit-from-within glow that is very flattering on the skin.
According to Kosås,
The sun and the moon. The light and the dark. A golden bronzing duo for a radiant, sun-kissed glow or subtle, sophisticated definition.
Pressed powder blush for the perfect emphasis. Deceptively simple and beautifully complex, each color is designed to optically blend with a range of skin tones, for a universally flattering effect. Refined pigments and soft, finely milled powder are enhanced with nylon molecules for a silky, veil-like feel and controllable, buildable intensity. Matte-ifying without drying, jojoba and moringa oils, rice bran, and rosemary extract give a skin cushioning treatment with every application.
Directions: Using a brush, apply to apples of the cheeks for a warm, natural-looking blush, or to cheekbones for bronzed definition. For a warm monochromatic look, apply along upper lashline and blend. Sweep highlighter wherever illumination is desired.

Tropic Equinox features a warm caramel bronzer, which can be used as a blush or contour shade, that has a luscious creamy texture and a beautifully luminous finish. The blush, a stunning peachy orange, is neither too flat, nor too luminous. Instead, it features a refined finish punctuated by subtle luminosity. It glides across the skin effortlessly, depositing color without setting into fine lines or pores, and it flatters the skin with a natural glow. The highlighter shade is a gorgeous golden beige that imparts the perfect glow without being in the least bit overdone or glittery. When blended with the blush, the two transform into a stunning warm luminous peach.

Such lovely looking duos! Because I don't use bronzer, these aren't for me, but I love the look and sound of them. Curious to see what else they make? I have to revisit your post about their lipsticks, and I'm guessing their shadows must be beautiful
ReplyDeleteAren't they beautiful?! Only two of them are bronzers, but they can be used as blushes, the other three are definitely blushes. So far they only make these and their lipsticks– no shadows, but I hope that they roll some out at some point!
DeletePapaya is my kind of shade! These sound wonderful and so creamy!
ReplyDeleteIt would really be beautiful on you, Cindy! The quality is absolutely phenomenal!
DeleteI love cream blush but I don't really use bronzer. I wonder if the Neiman around here carries this line.
ReplyDeleteYou would like 8th Muse! I'm not sure if you can find it in your local NM, but it's definitely worth checking! Their lipsticks are gorgeous too, and Rosewater would be a very you shade!
DeleteI like the simple packaging. I will check out this brand!
ReplyDeleteMe too! Definitely worthy of your consideration, Kath!
