Given that the warmer months of the year naturally invite exfoliation to reveal healthy, youthful, glowing skin– it only stands to reason to select a wondrous exfoliator for the job. Having tried a wide variety of body scrubs, there is one true standout that won my heart immediately. African Botanics Marula African Muti Mud Mineral Body Scrub is a revelation in exfoliators, and from the moment that you open the jar you will immediately see why.
This ultra-luxe mineral and phytonutrient-rich Muti Mud-based scrub, which is inspired by an ancient spa ritual, has a delectable light cocoa scent that ignites the senses while it detoxifies and purifies the skin. Its exfoliating particles are at once ultra-efficient and gentle, making the perfect choice for all skin types– including the most sensitive. While African Botanics Marula African Muti Mud Mineral Body Scrub gently removes dead skin cells, it not only leaves skin soft, supple and moisturized, but it also leaves it noticeably luminous with improved texture. Unlike many oil-based body scrubs, this one neither leaves an oil-slick on the skin, nor on the shower floor– therefore there is no added clean-up after use. If ever there was a perfect body scrub, it is this one.
There are two wonderful ways that one can use this scrub: First, in the traditional way one can apply to dry or damp skin and gently massage it in a circular motion. The second method is to apply it to dry skin and leave it on for 10-15 minutes to allow the Muti Mud to detox the skin, then rinse of while massaging in a circular motion. The results are astounding, and my skin has never felt as soft and smooth as it does with this amazing scrub.
It is worthy to note that this formula is concentrated– therefore a little goes a long way, and one jar will last a long time.

What a great body scrub with these ingredients...I love using a good scrub because it doesn't take a break on vacation! Great review on this body scrub!

It is a really special body scrub, indeed! Thank you for your kind words, Ursula!
DeleteSounds fab! And it looks so confusingly edible and chocolate-like, haha.
ReplyDeleteIt's absolutely amazing, and it definitely looks and smells good enough to eat! I definitely wouldn't recommend it though, LOL!
DeleteThat looks SO nice! I would love to try that! <3
ReplyDeleteIt's is, by far, my favorite body scrub. It's pure unmitigated perfection!
DeleteNow that's a scrub!! My friend's daughter made some homemade scrub but it had much too much liquid and not enough sugar crystals. I love the thick scrub, and this one has Marula too!! Divine
ReplyDeleteIt really is, Allison! While I have quite a few body scrubs in rotation currently, this is by far my favorite! Homemade scrubs are a nice alternative to the store bought variety, but I agree with you– I, too, prefer the thicker variety! Yes, the Marula is a definite added bonus!
DeleteI always hear fab things about this brand. A good body scrub is so important!
ReplyDeleteIt is an amazing brand, and this is a very special body scrub!
DeleteI need a scrub that "scrubs" but does not "scrub too much that it hurts". I just woke up from my siesta so my mind isn't working... haha! But you know what I mean. I will look into this!
ReplyDeleteThen this is the scrub for you, twinsy!
DeleteNow chocolate is a scent I can admire. I love the idea of leaving it on 10 minutes prior to showering. If I ever get my hands on this that's what I'll try first.
ReplyDeleteI know just what you mean! It is by far the best scrub that I have used, and using it as a mask first really delivers great results!
DeleteI've been meaning to try African Botanics, especially the oils. This looks like chocolate!
ReplyDeleteOh Renu, this is a line that you really need to try! It's one of the very finest lines on the market! It smells divine!
DeleteMuti Mud Mineral Body Scrub. That sounds like a little bit of heaven in a jar. I normally like very scrubby scrubs for my bod but a nice mud mask for all over? I could go for that. Bonus for smelling like cocoa. <3
ReplyDeleteIt is absolutely heaven in a jar. This one definitely has good scrubby particles, but it also doubles as a mud mask. It does both so effectively, and it smells delicious!
DeleteI immediately though it looked chocolatey, so the scent seems like a perfect fit. This sounds like such a great scrub!
ReplyDeleteIt is the perfect fit, and it is such an amazingly effective scrub!
