There is absolutely no question that I truly love HOURGLASS Cosmetics, and they have consistently thrilled me with their beautiful and thoughtfully crafted products. Their Nº 28 Lip Treatment Oil (reviewed here) has been a staple for me since it launched, and the mere thought that they would add a tint of color to this miraculous formula was a monumental thrill for me. I know this may sound like an exaggeration, but I am utterly obsessed with beauty oils, and one that is specifically formulated for the lips is nothing short of a coup for me! Therefore, adding a gorgeous tint to an outstanding formula is the perfect pairing.
HOURGLASS Nº 28 Tinted Lip Treatment Oil in Icon (Limited Edition for Holiday 2015) boasts the same magnificent formula as their original, but with the addition their gorgeous signature Icon shade. Icon is the perfect blue-based red that can be worn alone, or on top of your favorite lipstick, lip liner or lip stain. It offers the perfect wash of color while it conditions, nourishes and deeply moisturizes the lips. Furthermore, this ultra-luxe oil blend improves the appearance of fine lines and has a slightly plumping effect without any discomfort. My lips have never been more soft and supple than when I use the Hourglass Nº 28 Lip Treatment Oil, and I'm thrilled to say that Icon does the same, but instead with a gorgeous wash of color.

Have you tried HOURGLASS Nº 28 Tinted Lip Treatment Oil in Icon yet? If so, are you as obsessed with it as I am?
I was adding this to my VIB list but then I read all the conflicting reviews on Sephora. Hmmmm
ReplyDeleteNeither of the first two bad reviews specify whether it was this new limited edition tinted version, or the original version. Since this is so new most of the reviews have to be referring to the untinted version. I am a huge fan of the original formula, and really love it ail a tint. If you aren't a fan of the original version, you won't likely be of this one either. :-)
DeleteIt's totally new to me; I had never heard of it until this post.
DeleteIt looks and feels great on the lips! I have been using the original formula since it launched, and really love that they added a tint– albeit to a limited edition holiday product. That said, they are probably closely watching to see if it is popular enough to consider adding into the core permanent line.
DeleteI have yet to try Hour Glass products but I love the luxe design and quality of this lip treatment!!

I highly recommend trying the line, Ursula! It's a wonderful company with so many gorgeous products!
DeleteThis looks gorgeous! I really want to try this- I've been really into lip oils!
ReplyDeletexx, A Little Dose of Makeup
Lip Oils are fantastic, and this one is definitely worth trying! xo
DeleteWhat a lush colour, I'd not got round to trying the original but this one is going straight on my Christmas list :)
ReplyDeleteHi Clare! Isn't this color gorgeous?! It translates to more of a wash of color when applied to the lips, but it is absolutely beautiful on, and it feels fantastic!
DeleteI love The original version. Does this one bleed into your fine lines around your lips?
ReplyDeleteHi Martha, I love the original version as well, and have been obsessed with it since it launched1 I have been wearing it every day since it arrived, and I haven't experienced any migrations, bleeding or feathering. It wears evenly and beautifully. It offers a sheer wash of color, and on my lips it is a light blue-red wash. It's noticeable, but subtle. :-)
DeleteWant, want, WANT!
ReplyDeleteIt is so worth having!!!!
DeleteOh goodness, gimme! I was already debating on whether I needed another lip product, but YES I do hehe
ReplyDeleteYou need this, Heather!
DeleteI believe you about being obsessed with oils!! This looks great. I think I'd have to start with the clear though.
ReplyDeleteOils are the best things for the skin! This is definitely well worth having, and it is actually more of a subtle wash of color, but the clear one is a great place to start!
DeleteThis sounds like something I'd love! How in the world I forgot to add this to my VIB Rouge haul?
ReplyDeleteYou really would love it, twinsy! You probably were distracted by so many other pretty things that were capturing your attention!
DeleteSold! You are so bad for my wallet! No way can I resist that packaging and my dry lips definitely need this. Since the tint is on the sheerer side, I can hopefully pull off the shade.
ReplyDeleteLOL! I'm bad for my wallet as well! You will love this formula, and it is definitely on the sheer side, but if the color isn't what you are looking for, then the clear version is spectacular!
DeleteI've had the original on my 'to try' list forever, but this is even better. I love the colour!
ReplyDeleteThe original is amazing, but adding a tint makes it even better! Grab one before they sell out– since this is LE. I hope that they add it, and other colors, to the permanent core line!
DeleteThis color looks AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteIt really is gorgeous, Kristin!
DeleteHi may i know how does this wears compared to the original one as the ingredient lists are different from each other. Would like to know if this one is as moisturizing as the original one and how does it wear throughout the day?
ReplyDeleteHi Jessica, Sorry for the slow response! I find that there is a negligible difference in the amount of moisture between the two, on my lips at least. The tinted version only offers a sheer wash of color, albeit a lovely enhancement to one's lip color. If you really are looking for something for moisture, then you might prefer to use the original untinted version, but I am quite smitten with this version.

ReplyDeleteHi again, I should have mentioned above that I am so happy with the tinted version that I really hope that HOURGLASS not only makes it permanent, but that they expand the color range! :-)
