evanhealy Sweet Blossom Hydrating Body Oil | Review

Gift courtesy of Joan Uemura Shure (Affiliated Links)

The use of nourishing body oils are such an effective way to maintain the moisture and hydration levels of the skin, and I find this particularly true during the colder months of the year. I apply oils from head to toe, and during the winter I layer body oils underneath heavier creams and balms so that my skin remains soft, supple and richly moisturized.

As you already know, I am a huge fan of the beautiful skincare products from evanhealy, and their Sweet Blossom Hydrating Body Oil is a true gem. It is deeply nourishing, immediately hydrating, and the effects are long-lasting. My skin is left luxuriously soft and supple as well as silky smooth to the touch. Dry skin is quickly softened, soothed and hydrated– while the senses are treated to the gorgeous fresh scent. Furthermore, Sweet Blossom Hydrating Body Oil can be used as a massage oil and a scalp treatment oil. I love using it as a hand moisturizer underneath a heavy cream, and my chapped over-washed winter hands no longer look or feel dry or parched.

According to evanhealy,

A nourishing blend of 100% pure, cold-pressed oils of sunflower, sesame, apricot kernel and jojoba combine with sensual and relaxing essential oils to quench and soothe dry, dehydrated skin.
Scented with the fresh fragrance of petitgrain leaf, layered with sweet neroli blossoms, exotic ylang ylang and balanced with sacred Hojari frankincense from Oman.

Sweet Blossom Hydrating Body Oil is a special treatment for all-over body care. The scent is fresh and clean with light heart notes of petitgrain sur fleur neroli, the steam distilled combination of fragrant leaf and sweet blossom from the bitter orange tree. Nourishing and soothing with certified organic essential oils, our intensive body oil blends cold-pressed, premium plant oils that work to create softer, smoother skin while protecting its natural hydro-lipid moisture balance.

Suggested use: "Smooth oil onto skin after bath or shower – penetrates quickly leaving the skin glowing and feeling soft and silky smooth. As a scalp treatment: Massage about a teaspoon, or more, into scalp. Massage oil well into scalp, working out to the ends of the hair. The oil can be left in the hair for any period of time, or followed by washing and conditioning. As a Bath Oil: pour one to two ounces into bath water for fragrant, soothing, hydrating body soak treatment."

Ingredients: (INCI) Cold-pressed oils of sunflower seed (Helianthus annuus),* sesame seed (Sesamum indicum),* jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis)* and apricot kernel (Prunus armeniaca)* with essential oils of petitgrain and neroli (Citrus aurantium), frankincense (Boswellia carterii) and ylang ylang (Cananga odorata) and Vitamin E. * Certified Organic.

No GMOs, parabens, petroleum-based products, synthetic fragrances, gluten, or animal testing. No sodium lauryl or laureth sulfates. Cruelty-Free.
Overall Assessment: Effective, affordable and a joy to use! evanhealy products are well worth your consideration, and once you try the line you will understand why I love it as much as I do!

    1. It really is, and it's a heavyweight contender when compared to the luxury price tag body oils on the market.

  9. Sounds yummy and affordable. Any chance you know how it compares to Kiehls or L'occitane almond oil? Might buy it anyway and if I can locate my kiehls will self compare.

    1. Hi Kirsten! It is yummy and affordable! I don't have the Kiehl's oil, but I do have a deluxe sample of the L'Occitane Almond Supple Skin Oil (which I absolutely love). I find that both are very moisturizing, but I think that the evanhealy oil might be just a bit more moisturizing than the L'Occitane Oil. evanhealy's oil have a more earthy scent, but it does dissipate after a while. I think that it comes down to personal preference, ultimately. I definitely really love both! :-)

  11. Thanks for the comparison to L'occitane. I've yet to try it (!!!!), but I love the shower cleansing oil and my mom loves the body oil! Think I'll check out evanhealy at Pharmaca and give it a whirl. Thx again for the info!

    1. Absolutely my pleasure, Kirsten. This is the perfect solution– that way if you don't like the smell, then you can get the one from L'Occitane instead! They also sell evanhealy at Whole Foods Market– so if you have a Whole Foods nearby you can check there as well. Check out the other evanhealy oils, and the Whipped Shea Butter with Olive Leaf is AMAZING! I will review it really soon! I bought it last time I went to Pharmaca, and just can't say enough good things about it!
