You are likely aware by now that I really love the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders based upon my review of their Ambient Lighting Palette and their Ambient Lighting Powder in Radiant Light. You might think that this would quell my desire to collect more of these beauties, but in fact the opposite is true. I have been so elated by the quality, texture and finish of these radiant gems that I couldn't help but run out and purchase Mood Light as well. And yes, I want a few more!

Mood Light is indeed "a soft, sheer lavender pink powder, that mimics the softest and most forgiving light...." I find that it is the perfect color for my cool-toned complexion. One might think that it would be too lavender or pink to dust all over the face, but I find that it works beautifully in this capacity. It boasts a nearly matte finish with a very subtle and refined sheen that effectively brightens and illuminates the complexion. It reduces the appearance of redness and gives the skin a very even and flawless finish. I have found that it leaves my skin looking naturally glowing and healthy. Every single time that I wear it people comment on my beautiful skin, and while my skin is in very good shape without makeup there is no question that Mood Light gives me the highly coveted "My Skin but Better" appearance that we all seek in finishing products. I also like to use Mood Light as a highlighter when I don't feel like dusting my entire face, and it offers a subtle beautiful glow in all of the right places. The texture of Mood Light is just spectacular: it is soft and silky to the touch and ultra-finely milled, and it effortlessly glides across the skin. It is truly powder perfection incarnate!

I LOVE the Ambient Powders. I purchased Dim Light when the powders first came out. While I was cashing out the sales associate was like, boy, I bet that lavender one would like stunning on you. Why he said that I don't know. So of course, that nagged at me until a few months later I went back for Mood Light, haha. I agreed, this can be worn all over the face. I have a somewhat neutral tone, with both yellow and pink undertones and this works well for me. Really blurs the look of pores.

It really does blur the look of the pores! I'm glad to hear that you also love wearing it all over the face as well! I think that it is my favorite so far, but I'm not done buying them!!!!!! I recently felt I'd completed my collection with the arrival of Mood Exposure and Louminous Flush blushes, to go with my Palette and Diffused light - and I can tell you, they are a fab supplement to any stash.

ReplyDeleteHi Kimberly, I have been very very happy with these lovely powders! As a cool toned girl, I can definitely tell you that Mood Light is perfection for my skin! Ethereal Light has been on my list for a while, and at some point I will definitely cave and buy it. I suspect that you will be happy with these, but you might want to play with them in person before splurging just to make sure that you love them. I have nothing but good things to say about them!
