If you are a longtime reader of this blog, then you already know that I am madly in love with Radical Skincare. Radical is one of those rare lines that really and truly resonates with my skin, and the products are so extraordinary that I cannot help but effusively gush over these beautifully crafted products. I have written about the company and their products extensively (click here to see my many reviews), but to learn more about the Radical Skincare story and their philosophy read here and here.
Their potent ingredients coupled with their use of cutting edge proprietary technology means that they create products of the highest quality and efficacy. When I first began using the line I was quite shocked not only by how well the products worked, but frankly by how each one of them exceeded both my expectations and their claims. I have been using their Peptide Infused Antioxidant Serum for more than four months, and have to say that I can't imagine life without it.
According to Radical their Skincare Peptide Infused Antioxidant Serum is a,
...powerhouse anti-wrinkle serum that shields against the free radicals responsible for skin aging. The ingredients have been shown to increase collagen and elasticity in weeks.
Radical Skincare Peptide Infused Antioxidant Serum Benefits:
- Peptide ingredients increase collagen production
- Creates an instant healthy glow
- Berry bronze serum reflects the natural antioxidant power
- Antioxidants are the best defense against free radical damage and aging.
- The strongest antioxidants are found in nature’s dark night shade fruits like resveratrol, coffee berry, acai, grapeseed, red wine extract, pomegranate, and cranberry to name a few.
- Multiple antioxidants are required to fight the numerous types of free radicals. Using one or two antioxidants is simply not enough.
Furthermore, Radical developed a proprietary technology that markedly increases the efficacy of their products:
Trylacel Technology: Antioxidants are the best defense against free radical damage and aging. The strongest antioxidants are found in nature’s dark night shade fruits like resveratrol, coffee berry, acai, grapeseed, red wine extract, pomegranate, and cranberry to name a few. Multiple antioxidants are required to fight the numerous types of free radicals. Using one or two antioxidants is simply not enough.
Trylacel™ a radical breakthrough in suspension technology, keeps the antioxidant potency and performance in the cream to deliver maximum benefits and results quickly. By combining and encapsulating maximum levels of powerful antioxidants, clinically proven reparative and soothing agents in a bi-lipid membrane.
When antioxidants are combined with reparative ingredients in a cream they break down and lose their power, rendering them ineffective to protect your skin from this free radical assault and therefore daily deterioration continues aging your skin. Until now.
My experience: Other than when I am testing out other products for review, I use Radical Skincare Peptide Infused Antioxidant Serum day and night over whatever luxury face oil that I am using at the time. I let my oil sink in and then immediately apply this delectable serum. It sinks in instantaneously and leaves my skin deliriously hydrated, soft, supple, plumped and glowing. N.B. I have tried it many times without a face oil to make sure that I was actually getting the luminous glow from this serum, and the results are unmistakable. Furthermore, my skin has a pronounced clarity and luminosity that is further enhanced by a remarkably smooth texture. It is a very potent antioxidant rich anti-aging serum that not only protects the skin, but also moisturizes and imparts an unmistakable ethereal glow. The richly packed peptides increase collagen production and the antioxidants work overtime protecting the skin against the damaging effects of free radicals. My skin looks and feels amazing because of this serum, and the result is always younger looking healthy skin. The Trylacel suspension technology maintains maximum potency of the antioxidants, and that makes Radical Skincare products more effective than anything else that I have tried. I am a huge proponent of anti-aging serums, but this one is unlike anything else that I have ever tried. Liz and Rachel Edlich are true visionaries, and their products reflect their innovative approach and the resultant trail-blazing products remain radically different from everything else on the market.
Radical selected the following active ingredients for their special proven properties:
Green Coffee: "The hydroxyl radical is an extremely reactive free radical formed in biological systems and has been implicated as a highly damaging species in free radicals pathology, capable of damaging almost every molecule found in living cells. This radical has the capacity to conjugate with nucleotides in DNA and cause strand breakage, having far reaching implications leading ultimately to carcinogenesis, mutagenesis and cytotoxicity. Green Coffee is a good scavenger of active oxygen species, and a very strong antioxidant."
Sodium Hyaluronate: "Is the key water maintaining substances in human skin. Bad living environment and aging can cause the decrease of HA content in skin, and as a result the water maintaining ability of the skin is weakened and the skin looks dry and rough. Sodium Hyaluronate has high moisturizing and water content reguating function and its solution has high viscoelasticity and lubricity. When HA solution is applied on the surface of skin, it can form an air permeable layer and keep the skin moist and smooth. As a result, it plays a role of wrinkle removing, look improving and health protecting. Hylasome- Delivery system for water and a free radical scavenger. It is highly moisturizing, slow delivery of water, safe and more effective than HA (hyaluronic acid). Has 5 times the water binding capacity of hyaluronic acid."
Resveratrol: "A potent antioxidant has been shown in numerous scientific studies by prestigous organizations such as Harvard University, and many other medical schools and researchers to increase the rest phase of cell division. This is the phase during which DNA repair takes place. Resveratrol also activates other metabolic and biological pathways and processes which induce DNA repair and destroy damaged or abberant cells. These antioxidants fight the free radicals that cause oxidative stress damage to the skin."
Green Tea: "The outcome of the several experimental studies suggests that green tea posses anti-inflammatory and anticarcinogenic potential, which can be exploited against a variety of skin disorders."
Tripeptides: "Tripeptide has become an increasingly important ingredient in recent years and proving to be the ingredient of choice for anti-aging products. A Tripeptide belongs to the peptide family of amino acids and is basically a specialized molecule and a synthetic peptide containing three amino acid residues joined by peptide bonds. Tripeptides help improve skin condition as well as giving it a smoother appearance and specifically target skin cell renewal through the regeneration of collagen."

Do you still feel the same way and use it daily when not testing other products? Or has something else or something newer taken its place?
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, I definitely still love this serum! I reach for it often when I am not testing other products! You definitely have figured out the rhythm of my testing out products, and then the coveted stash of my most loved products. That said, as you already know I rotate lots of different products and always assess the needs of my skin before selecting what to use. They did add more actives to this serum and change the name:

It's still wonderful, but mine is the older version.
