Tom Ford Beauty Cheek Color, Narcissist - Jardin Noir Collection
Tom Ford Cheek Color is very high quality, and every one of his blushes are gorgeous, finely milled, and highly pigmented. Narcissist, which is now nearly impossible to find, is a stunning über pigmented bright cool-toned medium to dark pink blush with a very subtle fuchsia sheen. It may seem like a scary bright color, but when used with a light hand it is unbelievably gorgeous, and is far more natural looking than you might imagine. Over application will definitely result in clown cheeks- so a light hand and a little blending is all it takes for the perfect flush of color. It offers that gorgeous and highly sought after lit from within glow when worn lightly. It also mixes beautifully with other colors, and in fact is utterly amazing when mixed with Tom Ford Frantic Pink.
As you know, I don't normally go for blushes quite this rich in color, however this rare jewel is so gorgeous that I had to get it-- particularly since it plays so well with other blushes. It is gorgeous all by itself, but it also has the capacity to add a gorgeous complexity to other blushes as well.I mourned missing Narcissist when it launched, and gave up on it altogether, but then I found a secret stash at Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills. After confirming that they had enough to warrant posting this information- I got busy cropping my pictures for you.
I don't have my compact with me because I did a pre-sale for the Neiman Marcus Bag Event that begins on September 12- that's why I included the stock photo, and the tester unit (indoor shot). Additionally, I didn't swatch Narcissist in store because I was busy doing other things, but instead my swatches were applied to my skin from a cotton pad that I loaded with color in-store and transported home to swatch later.
Trust me when I tell you Narcissist is not to be missed, and they have less than a dozen left- so don't spend too much time thinking about it if you are tempted!
According to Tom Ford Beauty,
Symmetrical, sculpted cheekbones are vital to creating the Tom Ford look.
This sumptuous powder blush delivers layers of possibility, from a sexy glow to a more dramatic, color-rich look.
Formulated with spherical pearls and rich emollients, it glides onto skin with the comfort of a cream, achieving outstanding luminosity and a velvety transparency.
The bottom swatches are lightly dusted with Frantic Pink.
Overall assessment: Don't miss this one! It's a small miracle that there are any left to begin with.
$56.00 8g/0.28 oz. Available only at Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills. Ask for Michelle Weinstein and tell her I sent you. She is expecting to hear from you, and has got a small stash of these beauties waiting. You will not find them online. Call her at (310) 550-5900 Ext. 2517.

Gorgeous! I love the color and I can imagine my fat cheeks getting dimension with this. So pretty Helen.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week :)
Good morning, wefadetogray :-) It is such a truly stunning color, and the quality is just amazing! I was so happy to be able to grab one before they are gone for good!!!!!!!! You have a wonderful week as well! <3
DeleteI will call her because I missed out also.
ReplyDeleteHi Lily!!! It is even more gorgeous in person-- you will be really happy to get your hands on this beauty. If you get one thing from Tom Ford this year-- it should be this rare beauty!!!!!! Let me know what you think once you get it! :-)
DeleteI reserved one pre-sale for the beauty event but am having second thoughts. It is the most lovely shade, and I want more blush in the raspberry-plum range for fall, but I'm worried it won't look so fabulous on my light skin. Any thoughts? My pre-sale includes the blush brush as I've heard it is beyond amazing, and with such a high quality blush I want to apply it as best as possible!
ReplyDeleteHi Kirsten :-)
DeleteGood for you for reserving one!! I'm also getting the blush brush- I just couldn't resist it after playing with it. I am pretty light as well, and was also worried that it might be too pigmented for me, but once Michelle put it on my cheeks and had me look at it in good light- I was sold. She is pretty fair as well and said that she wears Narcissist all of the time- and when I said that i didn't think that I could pull it off she wholeheartedly disagreed. She was right! It is so scary über pigmented looking in the pan, but a light-handed application is so unbelievably stunning. The key is to blend it well, and what you will end up with is a stunning glowing raspberry type of shade.
You are probably aware that I tend to be attracted to lighter pink blushes- so for me this really seemed kind of scary because of its intensity in the pan, but I was definitely able to achieve a gorgeous natural flush with Narcissist. Of course one could EASILY achieve clown cheeks if they applied it heavily, but applied lightly and blended- it is actually one of the most gorgeous blushes that I have seen in a very very long time. Also, as I mentioned in the post-- it mixes beautifully with other blushes, and at the counter when I swatched Frantic Pink on top of Narcissist- and Michelle and I gasped at just how gorgeous it was. Only you know if you will wear it, but if you are thinking of something in the raspberry-plum range of intensity- then you may really regret missing out on this one. For me, I didn't want for this to be the one that got away a second time. The trick to applying it with the TF blush brush is to very lightly touch the flat wide side of the blush on the pan- sweep it across your cheek, and then flip the brush over to the other clean flat side of the brush and blend it. That is how Michelle applied Narcissist to my cheeks, and the stunning and effortless look that resulted is what made me decide to get the blush and the brush! I hope that this helped, rather than further complicated your decision!
I do think that the blush brush is beyond amazing, BTW! While I have more blush brushes than any human with two cheeks needs- this one is so special that I had to have it! I can't wait until I can pick it and my other little pretties up and bring them home!
Did you choose anything from the Fall Collection?
That's it for now, but I am soo tempted by those stunning Noir Absolute swatches. The ombré eyeshadows look lovely, but I am fully stocked on pink and taupe from Tom Ford and Chanel purchases this summer. Thanks for the Narcissist feedback- I can't wait to start wearing it!
DeleteThat's it for now, but I am tempted by the stunning Noir Absolute swatches. The ombré eyeshadow palettes are so lovely, but I *just* bought a wardrobe of pink and taupe eye products from Chanel and Tom Ford this summer. Why oh why didn't I wait?!? Thanks for the great advice- I am so looking forward to wearing Narcissist (and the purple animal print tote)!
DeleteThe Absolute Noir liner is truly amazing! -- I was initially so apprehensive about the blue sparkle, but it is so subtle and gorgeous on the eyes-- now it is definitely my favorite gel eyeliner! I agree, the TF e/s trios are so lovely! I can't wait until the NM Beauty Event so that I can pick them up! There is no need in getting them if you have close dupes, and while I do I just could't resist them! Don't beat yourself up for not having waited-- I have done that PLENTY of times. Sometimes we just "have" to buy when we aren't being compelled by freebies! Michelle is saving me a purple tote as well! I can't wait to play with Narcissist-- that is probably the biggest score given its rarity! I can't wait to hear how you like yours!
DeleteThat's it for now, though I am tempted by the stunning Noir Absolute swatches. I *just* bought an entire wardrobe of eye products in pink and taupe from Chanel and Tom Ford this summer! Why oh why didn't I wait?!? Lola, thanks for all your excellent advice. I am so looking forward to wearing Narcissist for fall (and the purple animal print tote)!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Which Taupe and Pink Chanel and Tom Ford e/s did you get this summer?
DeleteSo sorry on the post repeats- my phone (liar!) kept telling me they weren't going through. I have Tom Ford Pink Haze, Chanel Stylos in pink and taupe, and Chanel Safari. Add that to my collection of brown-mahogany-deep taupe eyeshadows, pencils and gel eyeliners......The Tom Ford pink nail lacquer now looks tempting and of course I have the tres chic Chanel Emprise. We are so fortunate to have access to these truly artistic tones, textures and finishes :)
ReplyDeleteNo worries, Kirsten! What a beautiful selection that you purchased over the summer! I didn't get either Pink Haze or Escapade from the TF Summer Collection, and now am filled with regret (I hate that). However, it does seem that he does bring back that formula-- so next time I will get some provided that I can pull off the colors! You collection sounds drool-worthy!!!! I have heard that the TF Pink Nail Lacquer is a bit streaky unless you add about three coats- you should check out a few of the reviews to make sure that they are encouraging enough to spend that much. It looked very pretty, but the color seemed pretty easily dupable. Black Sugar Nail Lacquer looked less dupable, and from what i have heard it isn't streaky.
DeleteYou are so right about being fortunate to have access to these lovely products-- the downside is that the temptation can be pretty overwhelming at times! Have a lovely weekend! :D
