Armani Sheer Blush No. 10 + Guerlain Rouge G Lipstick in Gabrielle= Perfection Review & Swatches

Purchased by me (Affiliate links)
Among the things that I tend to obsess about are colors and textures in general, and in large part it is simply an occupational hazard. Looking at, and thinking about tiny details whether in colors used, or repeated motifs is second nature to me. The scary thing is that this type of directed looking and seeing charges my method of looking at makeup, and it invariably causes me to imagine and seek perfectly paired beauty products (which can be expensive undertaking). Why the long-winded preamble? Because this is precisely what happened to me when I revisited purchasing Armani Sheer Blush No. 10. The last time that I played with it at the Armani counter I had a nagging feeling that it was perfectly suited as a deeply compatible tonal partner for Guerlain Rouge G Lipstick in Gabrielle, and a single swatch of each confirmed my suspicion. This confirmation was all it took for me to stop deliberating about purchasing Armani Sheer Blush No. 10- so now I finally have this beauty in my stash! Individual in-depth reviews are forthcoming.

Guerlain Rouge G Lipstick in Gabrielle 60 is described as a pearly pale pink. The formula is unbelievably luxurious, and profoundly pleasurable to use. It leaves lips hydrated, defined and slightly plumped. This is to say nothing about the over-the-top luxury of the lipstick bullet itself- which is a work of art.

Guerlain Rouge G de Guerlain Jewel Lipstick Compact contains a ruby-powder formula that interacts with the light and creates a jaw-dropping pout of perfection. At first glaze, lips will be left defined, smoothed, plumped, and hydrated.

Tucked in a compact that marries beauty with high design, with one click, you will have a luminous lipstick and mirror at your fingertips. Designed by Lorenz Bäumer, the most talented jeweler from the Place Vendôme in Paris, it is the ultimate accessory of mystery and seduction.
Armani Sheer Blush No. 10 is described as a beige, but it is really more of a complex pink peach shade with gold and silver shimmer. This combination creates a gorgeous luminosity rather than a glittery effect. It is ultra finely milled, blends beautifully, and is one of the best blush formulas on the market.

Extremely soft and light, Sheer Blush enhances the complexion with a flush of natural color. Sculpts the face delicately and naturally. Cheeks are left with a warm, radiant glow.
Armani Sheer Blush No. 10 and Guerlain Rouge G Lipstick in Gabrielle are soulmates indeed: Gabrielle is essentially the lipstick version of Sheer Blush No. 10, and Sheer Blush No. 10 is what Gabrielle would be were it a blush. They are both lusciously complex, multidimensional, and with the perfect amount of luminosity. They are not too matchy-matchy because each is chameleon-like in its complexity- and when light dances across the surface of each they tend to undergo metamorphoses. Furthermore their textural differences prevent them from entering levels of uninspired sameness.
Individually they are gorgeous, but together Armani Sheer Blush No. 10 + Guerlain Rouge G Lipstick in Gabrielle are heavenly perfection! This union is perfection incarnate!
Note that Armani Sheer Blush No. 10 is applied heavily in the center and it is blended out at the far right.
Overall assessment: Truly, madly, deeply! It truly doesn't get any better than this!

    1. Thank you so much, my dear friend! I have been thinking about you a lot lately!!! I will call you soon so we can catch up-- life has been crazy!!!

Why am I not even remotely surprised that you have and love both of these. I think it might be scary to see how much overlap we have in our cheek and lip collections!!! If only we lived next-door to each other-- then we could share stashes- and avoid doubling up! LOL!

I hope the school year is off to a great start! xoxox, Helen

  3. These are just perfect. I like no 10 particularly because in the winter I like a moody, dusty rose color on my cheeks. It makes me feel in tune with the weather. Very pretty shades Helen.
    Have a lovely night!
