According to Osmia Organics their Facial Calibration Serum is composed of, "a select combination of plant oils, chosen for their balancing qualities, helps skin become more even and smooth, and assists in regulating sebum production. Olive squalane, kukui oil, and macadamia oil nourish the skin, and calming schisandra fruit extract soothes irritation. Super powered acai delivers an antioxidant boost, and organic black seed oil brings a vitamin and mineral infusion. Absorbs quickly, and does not leave the skin oily. In fact, used regularly, this face serum can help oily skin behave itself, and combination skin become less confused. The scent is mildly herbaceous, with the subtle spicy undertones of black cumin seed oil."
For: Normal, combination, oily skin.
How: 1/2 to one pump over the face and neck after cleansing, while skin is still quite damp.
My experience with Facial Calibration Serum: As you are no doubt aware, I am completely obsessed with facial oil serums, and this one fits beautifully in my growing collection. This beautiful serum is among the best choices for those with combination or oily skin, and it does wonders at keeping excessive oil production at bay. It is a beautiful and potent blend of nourishing oils, and it is very concentrated- two drops is all you need for your entire face and neck-- particularly if your skin is warm and damp during application. It is a slightly thicker oil, but it sinks in very quickly when used as I have described. It can be used both day and night, and it offers wonderful deep hydration. The oils that were chosen for this serum were specifically selected for their properties that regulate sebum production while smoothing and hydrating the skin. One of the things that every face oil obsessed person seeks is the unprecedented deep glow from within that oils impart, and Facial Calibration Serum does not disappoint! The scent is a beautiful and earthy one that might best be described as herbal, but with a very faint and detectable note of rosemary. It is not at all overpowering, but is instead quite intoxicating- though it does fade rather quickly upon application (a definite advantage for those with a sensitivity to scents). This oil was lovingly handcrafted using the finest ingredients that are safe, healthy and effective.Osmia Organics is one of those companies that really stands out because the products are of extraordinary quality, are healthy to use, and they sacrifice none of the quality associated with luxury products- except the less than healthy ingredients that you probably aren't thrilled to be putting on your skin (which means into your body). The Owner and Founder, Dr. Sarah Villafranco, remains unwaveringly committed to making the best quality healthy products that we can use without concern about their safety or efficacy- all the while remaining luxurious and utterly delightful to use. Each of her products offers the user an amazing sensory experience that is sure to enchant, and of this you can be assured.

My only regret is that half of my bottle spilled all over my patio when a gust of wind knocked it over while photographing the contents of the bottle- I scrambled and applied it to my arms and legs, and nearly cried. I now am very interested in trying their Facial Restoration Serum- that one sounds amazing as well!

DeleteAfter looking at all your reviews, I settled on this one. And her Spot Treatment. I am SO GLAD I took the plunge. My combination skin is so happy. I've been applying it straight at night and mixing a drop or two into my morning moisturizer. I also had a painful pimple develop on my scalp the dy my order arrived and after 2 full days of using the Spot Treatment, it was completely healed.
ReplyDeleteNow I am trying to justify buying a bottle of Juniper Fire when I don't wear perfume all that often because it is the most comforting scent I've ever worn. I guess we will see how long the sample lasts me. :-)
Happy New Year, Emma! Great choices-- her products are simply extraordinary! I'm so thrilled that your skin is so happy with what you purchased! Not only do I often add a drop or two into my daily moisturizer, but I also add a drop or two into my foundation a good deal of the time! It gives finishing products a luminous glow! I'm so glad that the Spot Treatment healed your pimple so quickly!
DeleteI haven't tried any of her perfumes yet, but have heard nothing but great things about them! You just can't go wrong with anything that Sarah makes! I'm just so thrilled that you are so happy with Osmia Organics! You should try her lip balm-- it's AMAZING!!!!!!
Do you have any recommendations for a hydrating face oil for breakout prone skin that is also dry?
ReplyDeleteHi Amanda, The Osmia Organics Facial Calibration Serum would definitely work for breakout prone skin that is also dry. It will keep your sebum products in check, but it definitely offers enough nourishment and hydration to care for the drier parts of the skin as well. If you are looking for additional recommendations beyond this, then let me know and I will come up with additional suggestions! :-)
