My experience with Vitamin C Serum: First, I have to preface this by reiterating that which you already know: I am a face serum fiend! As such, I have used a great many serums, and tend to be fairly picky about them. That said, I truly love Vitamin C based facial products and have generally found the results to be rather immediate with my skin. Therefore, when Mario Badescu send me their Vitamin C Serum to try I was elated because it is just the type of product that I love.

This lovely elixir immediately brightened my complexion giving it a remarkable glowing quality that made my skin look and feel healthy. This potent combination of ingredients simultaneously brightens and hydrates the skin- leaving dull skin radiant, glowing, nourished, supple, soft, smooth, and deeply hydrated. This serum can be used by itself,  but I prefer to layer it under a moisturizer for added hydration. 

The texture is light and sinks in very quickly, and the smell is soft and subtle with a very faint scent of lavender (its potency is diluted by the other ingredients- as it is the last ingredient on the list). It is a true pleasure to use, and I find that the scent gives me an overall feeling of well-being.

This potent blend of ingredients really work their magic at night (the suggested time to use this serum) when your body is at rest and you skin cells naturally turn over at a more rapid rate. I find that my skin has an amazing degree of clarity when I wake up the following morning- prompting me to use it with great regularity in order to receive all of these lovely benefits.

I also find that all of the anti-aging ingredients work their magic by increasing collagen production, and thus leaving fine lines softened. Additionally the Vitamin C rich formula fades hyperpigmentation from sun damage over time- I have noticed some fading, but imagine that it will be more pronounced over time.

Overall assessment: This is an amazingly effective and potent nighttime anti-aging serum, and one that I will definitely keep in my rotation. What is the most surprising to me is that I can get the results that I have at this price point. I have been accustomed to spending a great deal of money on serums, but Mario Badescu's Vitamin C Serum is a serious contender at an affordable price. A+!
