As the cold weather persists, I continually find myself reaching for richer creams, oils and lotions to quench my dry skin. Sometimes there is nothing like a very rich and thick body butter to soothe dry skin, and lately I have been reaching for Trader Joe's Coconut Body Butter. Not only is it rich and creamy, but it also has the intoxicating scent of coconut- which evokes thoughts of warm and sunny weather.

Trader Joe's, "This is a thick, smooth, buttery, body cream that's made with pure coconut oil and other natural, skin-soothing ingredients, like aloe vera, shea butter and vitamin E. It absorbs into your skin very quickly, and doesn't leave it feeling oily. Despite the fact that this body butter is extraordinarily thick it really does sink into the skin quickly- especially into slightly damp warm skin. Not only is this a truly lovely moisturizer, but it is also priced very modestly- thereby making it a wonderful choice.
Overall assessment: This is a fantastic moisturizer that will make you think of warm weather while effectively treating your winter parched skin. While it smells good enough to eat, it really is for external use only!

I love lotions/body butters with coconutty scents/shea butter scent on it, it makes me feel that I am wearing a naturally made product <3

DeleteJust got back from TJ's and they *cleverly* had it at the checkout counter and I said "why do I smell coconut?" she whips out the container and lets me smear some on my arm...WELL! I want to ROLL AROUND IN IT!!!! and eat it!!! LOL...I do use the organic coconut oil right after my shower every day but this goes BEYOND that aroma...! might buy it, not sure...AROMA IS HEAVENLY if you love coconut, though!
ReplyDeleteHaha! I have seen them at the checkout counter as well! Clever, indeed! I have been leaving it on my desk, and just love the results. You are right about the heavenly aroma! I do notice that it does fade quite a bit after it soaks in, but it really leaves my hands so moisturized. I really like it a great deal. Though it will take me quite a long time to get through this tub- I imagine that I will buy another when I finish this one! Organic Coconut Oil right after the shower sounds just divine!! Thanks for the GREAT idea!! :-)
